What is PlaceToBee?
A Swiss network connecting travellers and local producers
PlaceToBee is a network of local Swiss producers — winegrowers, farmers, cheesemakers, distilleries, tourist sites — who welcome van, motorhome and caravan travellers on their land. The idea: one night on their farm in exchange for buying their products. Not a classic campsite, but a human, authentic experience in some of Switzerland’s most beautiful landscapes.
The model is simple and fair: travellers discover off-the-beaten-path places, producers sell direct. PlaceToBee encourages dialogue between consumers and local producers, with mutual respect and sustainable tourism.

Our nights with Swiss producers
During our Switzerland van trip we spent several nights at PlaceToBee sites — idyllic settings, honesty bars full of quality local produce, and an atmosphere that makes you want to stay forever.
The pitches were really great — we could buy local products straight from the little self-service huts. We loved those nights, sleeping close to the people who keep the terroirs alive, and leaving in the morning with a basket full of good things.
